Full Skin Check and Dermatoscopy

Summerland Skin Cancer Clinic recommends an annual full skin check to avoid missing any spots in obscure or hard to see places on the body.

Mole Monitoring

Observing moles over time to diagnose melanomas that grow very slowly and in the early stages may not show any obvious clues to their malignancy.

Biopsy

A biopsy involves taking a sample of a suspicious lesion where the diagnosis is unclear, a pathologist can then give an exact diagnosis.

Non-Surgical Treatment

For some early skin cancers, non-surgical treatments such as Phototherapy, Cryotherapy and Topical creams are valid options.

Surgical Treatment

Often, skin cancers are best removed surgically. This can be performed using procedures such as Excision and Curettage.
