Elizabeth (Liz) moved to the Northern Rivers region when she was 14 years old, completing high school locally before commencing a law degree at Southern Cross University. She then transferred into Medical School at the University of Newcastle, completing her degree in 2007. She undertook hospital-based residency training with the Hunter New England Area Health Service, before progressing on to general practice training. Liz received her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2012, including a Clinical Diploma in Palliative Medicine through the Royal Australian College of Physicians. Whilst she continues to work part-time in a clinical role elsewhere locally, Liz’s role at Summerland Skin Cancer Clinic is Practice Manager, for which she holds a Diploma of Practice Management.
Liz is married to Dr Tristan, and together they have 2 young children. Away from work, she enjoys cooking sweet treats, reading (when she has time!) and dabbles a little writing adult and children’s stories. She also loves planning family holidays.
